Inspired by the sacred boundary symbolised by the shimenawa, “藏金” reimagines the lucky cat as a mechanical guardian of treasures held within. A subdued stone-textured shell encloses a golden mechanical framework, its lustre revealed through openings in the face and torso. Rugged textures meet intricate structures, while matte surfaces contrast with mirrored finishes, expressing a quiet exterior and richness within. This embodies the essence of “藏金”—holding precious treasures within, giving wishes a tangible form.
